Rosh Hashana is unique in that it has a two fold purpose: to celebrate the Jewish New Year and the beginning of new days and opportunities;
and also, it is the Day of Judgement for the world, where G-d sits as King and Judge of the world for the upcoming year. While the thought could be daunting, it is fact an empowering message to us all. My actions matter. My place in the world has an effect far beyond my own little circle. My choices are significant.
The Shofar blowing, the solemn prayer, and the delicious meals we enjoy, all celebrate both these aspects of the day. So join us!
Join us at the Synagogue we sing together in prayer to celebrate this auspicious day and pray for the blessings and goodness to shower upon us. In addition to prayers, the Torah will be brought out to be read and there will be an inspirational sermon from Rabbi Yossi.
No prior knowledge is required and the prayers are accompanied by a guided tour of the content and meaning by the Rabbi so you’ll never be lost.
At approximately 11.40am the Shofar will be blown. If you can only pop in for a short time, this would be the ideal time slot to make an appearance
We look forward to greeting you there.
