Second Day Rosh Hashana Service (Wednesday)

  • Newcastle Hebrew Congregation 122 Tyrell St NEWCASTLE EAST Australia (map)

UPDATE: CANCELLED > AT HOME SERVICES ONLY

TO BE CONFIRMED - CONTINGENT ON LOCKDOWN PLANS AND GOVERNMENT GUIDANCE

Every year at the time of Tekiat shofar, the blowing of the Shofar, on Rosh Hashana, G-d brings a new light and energy into the world that is greater than has ever existed before. This is an inspiring and uplifting moment as this new energy imbues every person and allows them to tap into a greater potential for their own personal growth and accomplishment of the year ahead.

Join us as at the Synagogue as we sing together in prayer to celebrate this auspicious day and pray for the blessings and goodness to shower upon us. In addition to prayers, the Torah will be brought out to be read and there will be an inspirational sermon from Rabbi Yossi.

At approximately 11.40am the Shofar will be blown. If you can only pop in for a short time, this would be the ideal time slot to make an appearance

A children’s program will be running in the hall (access via the path on the left of the Synagogue) from 10am until 11.40am when the children will come upstairs for the Shofar blowing.

No prior knowledge is required and the prayers are accompanied by a guided tour of the content and meaning by the Rabbi so you’ll never be lost.

We look forward to greeting you there.
